Communication in Organization

Relationships between Superiors and Subordinates

Communication between an employee and their manager/boss is important in their relationship. You have to maintain a professional relationship so you have to be able to communicate well. What is mostly communicated amongst an employee and their superior or subordinate are mostly about work: tasks, issues, projects, how we're doing right now, what we can do to be better, etc. You can't be saying inappropriate things or things that would normally get you in trouble, unless your relationship is that close. I know when I work I have to watch what I say because it could be an HR issue, so either I could get fired/in trouble or my manager or co-worker could get in trouble. I mean, depending on where you work, how you communicate is different. I work at a place where a lot of people can hear what I say and where if they don't like what they hear or see they could report me. If you're working someplace like an amusement park, I imagine it to be less strict. I think you have to have that professional relationship but at the same time don't make it so that it's all professional, you have to have fun too and be able to be yourself. So in a workplace relationship you have to know when to be serious and when to goof off.
